The Aquatio Suite Hotel is a charming 5-star hotel offering a relaxing break in Matera, the 2019 European Capital of Culture, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Opened in 2018, this 35-room-and-suite hotel occupies a unique position within a tufa ridge in the Sasso Caveoso district. The hotel boasts 5, 000 m2 of rooms, bars, and external areas, including a spa with a rock-carved swimming pool, a restaurant with an outdoor courtyard, and a meeting hall for up to 50 people. The hotel is accessible via Via Conche n. 12, a small street off Via Bruno Buozzi. Note that the main access is within a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL Rioni Sassi), inaccessible by car from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm between August 15th and November 2nd, 2020, with no exceptions. The hotel does not have private parking. Guests can book a space at the Autoservizi Damasco garage (Via Recinto XX Settembre 12, 1. 5 km away) for €20 per night plus €5 each way for shuttle service. Alternatively, public parking is available on streets like Via Lucana or Via Ridola, 300 meters or more from the hotel.
