Kalahari Farmhouse

The hotel is located in the midst of the Kalahari Desert, on the fringes of the village of Stampriet in the fertile valley of the seasonal Auob River. The themed hotel combines upmarket hospitality with a rural ambience and was renovated in 2012. The reception and restaurant are housed in a manor, built in the heyday of Karakul farming 50 years ago. The property offers 11 rooms in total. The hotel provides guests with tastefully decorated rooms in chalets reminiscent of the Cape Dutch style. All rooms are en suite and feature a shower, a double bed and a terrace. Visitors can enjoy the serene tranquillity by the pool, visit the farming business or join a scenic drive in Gondwana Kalahari Park, just 30 km away. The small neighbouring farming business keeps the hotel's kitchen stocked with fresh produce for the delicious dishes on the menu. Guests can select breakfast from a buffet each morning and lunch is offered à la carte.
