Scenically located in the lush natural scenery of the well-known hot springs resort town, Yugawara Onsen, this traditional Japanese inn (ryokan) boasts a long history of being loved by many famous Japanese literary authors. The bathing facilities that are sourced directly from a free-flowing hot spring, including a large communal bath, open-air bath, and large baths that may be reserved for private use by all guests at no extra charge. Rooms are comfortably furnished in a traditional Japanese style, although some rooms do feature Western-style beds as opposed to futon bedding. The staff prides itself on its traditional Japanese banquet-style cuisine (kaiseki), which features locally-produced seasonal ingredients. WiFi is available in some parts of the building.
