The UAE (especially Dubai and Abu Dhabi) offers the widest range of world-class hotels, from ultra-luxury resorts to budget-friendly apartments. Turkey is excellent for variety and value, with Istanbul, Antalya, and Cappadocia offering diverse hotel options. Saudi Arabia is rapidly expanding its hotel industry with new luxury properties. Jordan, Oman, and Egypt are great for cultural travel combined with quality accommodation.

October to April is ideal for most Middle Eastern destinations, with pleasant temperatures between 20-30 degrees. Summer (June-September) brings extreme heat in the Gulf states (40+) but lower hotel prices. Turkey is best from April to October. Egypt is pleasant year-round but scorching in summer. Winter months (December-February) are peak season for the Gulf states, so book hotels early.

Prices vary enormously. Dubai and Qatar have some of the world's most expensive hotels, but also plenty of mid-range options from $50-100/night. Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan offer excellent value with quality hotels from $30-60/night. Saudi Arabia has seen prices moderate as new hotel supply increases. It depends on the country. In the UAE, Bahrain, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon, most international hotels serve alcohol in licensed bars and restaurants. In Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iran, alcohol is prohibited. Qatar allows alcohol in licensed hotel venues. Check individual hotel policies when booking.
