Hotel Indigo Shanghai Jing'An

Often referred to as the 'Mother River', Suzhou Creek traces a meandering, graceful arc through the vibrant heart of Shanghai, silently observing the city's avant-garde Haipai culture that fuses Eastern and Western culture, and traditional and contemporary elements. Since the end of the 19th century, the neighbourhood has also developed a thriving film culture: the first recorded screening of a motion picture in China took place here on August 11, 1896. The Hotel Indigo Shanghai Jing'An is located near Suzhou Creek, an area that was historically Shanghai's Chinese Settlement. Drawing inspiration from the neighbourhood's cinematic heritage, the hotel's design language is based on Shanghai's all-embracing Haipai culture. This fuses Eastern and Western elements to create a stylish, tranquil space replete with cinematic, artistic, and humanistic motifs.
