Yanagian is located in Kameoka City, Okuzashiki, Kyoto. It's a little far from the town of Kyoto, but it's 10 minutes by JR from nearby Umahori station to Saga-Arashiyama and 17 minutes to Nijo station, so I think it's not so inconvenient compared to the city.
